Alexi Ogando spent the 2017 season in the Korean Baseball Organization for Hanwha…Originally signed as an international free agent by Oakland in 2002 as a position player. Ogando spent the first four years (2002-05) of his pro career as an outfielder in the Athletics minor league system. He was selected by Texas from Oakland in the minor league phase of the 2005 Rule 5 Draft on 12/8. Made his pro pitching debut in 2006, his first year in the Texas system, with the rookie-level DSL Rangers. He was unable to enter the United States due to visa issues from 2005-09, until his agent Charisse Dash worked diligently to negotiate a pardon with the United States State Department.  Alex was later named an American League All-Star in 2011, his first year in the majors working primarily as a starter. He is currently signed with the Cleveland Indians.
